Protest! Archives from the University of Melbourne

20th Feb 2013 - 2nd Jun 2013 at Baillieu Library, The University of Melbourne

Since 1856, when stonemasons building the quadrangle walked off the job and thus took a lead in the eight-hour day movement, the University of Melbourne has been involved in the social struggles that surround it. This exhibition draws upon the rich collections of the University of Melbourne Archives to explore protest events and personalities at the University and in a wider landscape of protest.
