Key 85: Veterinary Science [ii] 1962

 

Moves to re-establish teaching in the vestigial Faculty of Veterinary Science gathered strength in the 1950s and foundation Professor of Veterinary Medicine D.C. Blood arrived in 1962 to prepare the new course for commencement in 1963.

A second professor (K.V.F. Jubb, Veterinary Pathology was appointed in 1963 and a third (J.D. Steel, Veterinary Physiology) was appointed in 1965. The school has two locations. The preclinical centre in a new building completed in 1965 in the old Veterinary Research Institute precinct in Parkville and the Clinical Centre at the State Research Farm at Werribee.
